These Terms of Service (“Agreement”) govern your access to and use of all content, products, and services available at https://kellyjeantaylor.com (the “Website” or “Service”) operated by Kelly Jean Taylor (Kelly Jean), doing business as Kelly Jean Audiobook Narration (“we,” “us,” “our,” or “Company”).

Your access to our services is subject to your acceptance, without modification, of all terms and conditions contained herein. Please read this Agreement carefully before engaging our services. By accessing our Website, requesting a quote, submitting an audition, or entering into a narration project with us, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree to any part of these Terms, you may not use our services.


1.Audiobook Narration Services

1.1 Service Description


Kelly Jean Taylor provides professional audiobook narration services specializing in romance genres (paranormal, contemporary, historical, and erotic). Our services include character voice development, audio production, editing, mastering, and delivery of finished audiobook files in ACX-compliant format.

1.2 Service Tiers


We offer three pricing tiers:

  • Basic: $200–$300 per finished hour (PFH)

  • Standard: $250–$375 PFH

  • Premium: $325–$450 PFH

Each tier includes specific deliverables, revision limits, turnaround times, and support levels as outlined in your project proposal and contract.

1.3 Project Minimums


  • Phase 1 (First 6 months): 3–4 finished hours minimum (30,000–40,000 words)

  • Phase 2 (6–12 months): 5–6 finished hours minimum (50,000–60,000 words)

1.4 Pricing Add-Ons


Additional charges apply for: novellas (+$25–$50), series discounts (5–10% on Standard/Premium), rush delivery (+25–75%), erotic content (+50–80% after 6–12 months), and complex POV (+$25–$75).

2. Payment Terms & Conditions

2.1 Payment Schedule


Payment is structured as follows:

  • 25–30% upfront upon project confirmation

  • 50% at the halfway point (upon completion of 50% of narration)

  • 20–25% upon final delivery

2.2 Payment Methods


We accept payment via credit card (Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Discover) processed through a secure third-party payment service (currently Stripe). By submitting payment information, you authorize us to process and store your information with our third-party payment provider. We are not responsible for failures of the third party to adequately protect such information. All financial matters are subject to the third-party payment service provider’s terms found at https://stripe.com.

2.3 Net Terms


Standard net terms are 15 days from invoice date (7–10 days preferred). Rush projects may require higher upfront deposits.

2.4 Late Payment Policy


Accounts overdue by more than 10 days will result in work suspension. Late payments incur a 1.5% monthly fee. Work will not resume until payment is received in full.

2.5 Royalty Share Option


For select projects, we may offer a royalty share arrangement (10–15% Standard, 15–20% Premium, or 50% upfront + 10% ongoing). Royalty terms must be agreed upon in writing prior to project commencement.

3.REvisions & Quality Assurance

3.1 Revision Limits


  • Basic Tier: 1 revision set (up to 2 rounds of edits)

  • Standard Tier: 2 revision sets (up to 4 rounds of edits)

  • Premium Tier: Unlimited revisions

Revisions are limited to 2 sets per project phase (4 total across multi-phase projects).

3.2 Revision Eligibility & Fees


    • Narrator errors: Fixed at no additional charge

    • Author-requested changes: Billed at 75% of the PFH rate (minimum 1 hour charge)

    • Rush revisions: Subject to +50% surcharge

    • Major scope changes after 25% completion require written approval and may incur additional fees

3.3 Revision Timeline


  • Revision requests must be submitted within 48 hours of delivery

  • Author feedback must be provided within 3 business days of receiving a revision sample

  • Revision samples are provided at: 15-minute sample, 25%, 50%, and final delivery stages

4. Project Cancellation & Refunds

4.1 Cancellation Policy


Either party may cancel a project with 48 hours’ written notice. Upon cancellation:

  • Client retains all completed work delivered to date

  • Narrator retains all payments received to date

  • Client is responsible for payment of any work completed through the cancellation date

4.2 No Refunds


All payments are non-refundable except as required by law or in cases of narrator breach of contract. Downloadable products and services are final sale with no refunds issued.

4.3 Defective Products


If a delivered audiobook file is defective or corrupted, we will re-deliver or re-record the affected section at no additional charge. Contact us within 30 days of delivery to report defects.

5. Rush Jobs & Expedited Delivery

5.1 Rush Surcharges


  • Tier 1 (< 1 week): 50–75% surcharge

  • Tier 2 (1–2 weeks): 35–50% surcharge

  • Tier 3 (2–3 weeks): 25–35% surcharge

5.2 Rush Limitations


  • Maximum 8 finished hours per rush project

  • Only 1 rush project per month

  • Rush projects require higher upfront deposits (typically 50%+)

6. Intellectual Property & Rights

6.1 Ownership


These Terms govern your access to, and usage of all content, Product, and Services available at https://doubletakeqcb.com website (the “Service”) operated by Kelly Jean Taylor (“us”, “we”, or “our”).

Your access to our services is subject to your acceptance, without modification, of all of the terms and conditions contained herein and all other operating rules and policies published and that may be published from time to time by us.

Please read the Agreement carefully before accessing or using our Services. By accessing or using any part of our Services, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree to any part of the terms of the Agreement, then you may not access or use our Services.

6.1 Ownership

Your access to our services is subject to your acceptance, without modification, of all of the terms and conditions contained herein and all other operating rules and policies published and that may be published from time to time by us.

6.2 Narrator Rights


You grant Kelly Jean Taylor the right to:

  • Use audio samples (up to 5 minutes) for portfolio, marketing, and promotional purposes

  • Display your book title, cover, and author name in our portfolio and case studies

  • Reference your project in testimonials and marketing materials (with your permission)

  • Create marketing audio clips (up to 2–3 minutes) for your promotional use

6.3 Restrictions


You may not:

  • Resell, redistribute, or relicense our narration services

  • Use our voice recordings for purposes other than your audiobook publication

  • Modify, remix, or create derivative works from our audio files without written permission

  • Use our narration for competing audiobook projects without explicit written consent

6.4 Third-Party Content


Our services may incorporate third-party tools, software, or services. We disclaim responsibility for third-party failures or breaches. Your use of third-party services is at your own risk.

7. Series Consistency Guarantee

For clients booking multiple books in a series, we guarantee:

  • Voice consistency across all books in the series

  • Priority scheduling to maintain continuity

  • Series discount (5–10% on Standard/Premium tiers)

  • Access to voice bible and character reference materials

If we are unable to maintain voice consistency due to circumstances beyond our control, we will notify you immediately and discuss alternatives.

8. Accounts & Access

8.1 Account Information


Where applicable, you agree to provide complete and accurate information when creating an account or submitting a project inquiry. You are solely responsible for all activity under your account.

8.2 Account Security


You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account information and password. You must notify us immediately of any unauthorized access or security breach.

8.3 Account Termination


We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account for violation of these Terms or for any reason at our sole discretion, effective immediately.

9. Intellectual Property & Content Ownership

9.1 Our IP


The Website, all content, design, functionality, and materials are owned by Kelly Jean Taylor or its licensors. You are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to access and use the Website for lawful purposes only.

9.2 Your Content


Any content you submit (manuscripts, character notes, feedback, etc.) remains your property. However, you grant us a perpetual, royalty-free, non-exclusive license to use such content for project delivery, quality assurance, and portfolio purposes.

9.3 Restrictions


You may not:

  • Modify, copy, or reproduce any materials from the Website

  • Use materials for commercial purposes without permission

  • Attempt to reverse engineer or decompile any software

  • Remove copyright or proprietary notices

  • Transfer materials to third parties or mirror them on other servers

10. Disclaimers & Limitations of Liability

10.1 “As Is” Disclaimer


Our services are provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We disclaim all warranties including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.

10.2 No Guarantee of Results


We do not warrant that:

  • Services will be error-free or uninterrupted

  • Your audiobook will achieve specific sales, rankings, or commercial success

  • Audio quality will meet all third-party platform requirements (though we aim for ACX compliance)

  • All author feedback can be accommodated within revision limits

10.3 Limitation of Liability


To the fullest extent permitted by law, Kelly Jean Taylor shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including loss of profits, data, or goodwill, arising from your use of our services, even if advised of the possibility of such damages.

Our total liability shall not exceed the amount paid for the specific project in question.

10.4 Third-Party Services


We are not responsible for third-party platforms (ACX, Audible, Amazon, etc.), payment processors, or distribution channels. Your use of third-party services is at your own risk.

11. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Kelly Jean Taylor, its officers, directors, employees, and agents from any claims, damages, losses, costs, or actions arising from:

  • Your breach of these Terms

  • Your use of our services

  • Your violation of any laws or regulations

  • Your infringement of third-party intellectual property rights

  • Any content or materials you provide

  • Any claims related to your manuscript or audiobook


12. Termination

12.1 Termination by Us


We may terminate or suspend your access to our services at any time, with or without cause, with or without notice, effective immediately.

12.2 Termination by You


You may discontinue using our services at any time. However, any payments made are non-refundable, and you remain responsible for work completed through the termination date.

12.3 Survival


Provisions that by their nature should survive termination (IP ownership, indemnification, liability limitations, payment obligations) shall remain in effect.

13. Modifications to Terms & Services

13.1 Changes to Terms


We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. Material changes will be posted on our Website with reasonable notice. Your continued use of our services constitutes acceptance of modified terms.

13.2 Changes to Services & Pricing


Pricing and service offerings are subject to change without notice. Changes apply to new projects only; existing projects are grandfathered under original terms.

14. Prohibited Uses

You agree not to use our services or Website for:

  • Any unlawful, harmful, or fraudulent purpose

  • Harassment, abuse, or discrimination

  • Infringement of intellectual property rights

  • Transmission of viruses or malicious code

  • Unauthorized access to our systems

  • Spam, phishing, or data collection

  • Violation of any applicable laws or regulations

We reserve the right to refuse service to anyone for any reason.

15. User-Submitted Content & Feedback

15.1 Manuscripts & Materials


Any manuscripts, character notes, or materials you submit remain your property. We use such materials solely for project delivery and quality assurance.

15.2 Testimonials & Reviews


You grant us permission to use your name, testimonial, and project details in marketing materials, case studies, and portfolio pages (unless you opt out in writing).

15.3 Feedback & Suggestions


Any feedback, suggestions, or ideas you provide may be used by us without obligation or compensation.

16. Accuracy & Timelines

16.1 Information Accuracy


We strive to provide accurate information on our Website, but we do not warrant that all information is current, complete, or error-free. You rely on Website information at your own risk.

16.2 Turnaround Estimates


Estimated turnaround times are provided as guidance only. We will make reasonable efforts to meet deadlines, but we are not liable for delays caused by circumstances beyond our control (illness, equipment failure, internet outages, etc.).

16.3 ACX Compliance


We aim to deliver files that meet ACX technical specifications. However, we are not responsible for rejections by third-party platforms due to factors outside our control.

17. Governing Law & Jurisdiction

These Terms are governed by the laws of the United States, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any disputes arising from these Terms or our services shall be resolved in the state and federal courts of Wisconsin (or your state of residence), and you consent to jurisdiction in such courts.

18. Entire Agreement

These Terms, along with any project proposal, contract, Privacy Policy, and other policies posted on our Website, constitute the entire agreement between you and us regarding our services. These Terms supersede all prior communications, negotiations, or agreements.

19. Severability

If any provision of these Terms is found invalid or unenforceable by a court, such provision shall be modified to the minimum extent necessary to make it enforceable, or if not possible, severed. The remainder of these Terms remains in full force and effect.

20. Waiver

Our failure to enforce any provision of these Terms does not constitute a waiver of that provision or any other provision. We reserve all rights under these Terms.
