Finding Inspiration
One of the questions most, if not all creators get is, “What inspires you?” or What is your inspiration?”
I would assume that question has a multitude of answers and I am going to touch on a few of them. Let’s get to it.
Family
Family Is very important and can serve as inspiration if you are thinking of them as you progress through your journey. Not only do they inspire you, but you inspire them with your actions. When you succeed, they succeed. Not only is it a way to show them dedication, determination, courage, passion, and a love for what you do; they provide you with the strength to keep going. Consider it a two ways street, they provide you with the necessary motivation to start, continue, and accomplish your goals and they learn important life lessons by watching how determined and dedicated you are to no only your career/project, but to them as well.
For the Joy of Others
Through your work and what you do, you can inspire others to do the same or even something different. It doesn’t matter if you like to write, game, draw, or market. You can do anything. A big part of why I do what I do is to inspire others with the same interests as mine. Of course you would like to reach as many as possible, but not everyone is looking for what you are providing. So, until they do, just keep going and eventually you may provide something they are looking for.
For the Love of It
Your passion is, as the subtitle suggests, for the love of it. You love what you do. Whether you are doing it as a career or just as a hobby, or perhaps you are in the process of turning your hobby into your career. Whichever the case, your inspiration is because you love what you’re doing. There is nothing more satisfying than completing something because you love what you do.
The Journey
The journey is one of the most gratifying things as well as inspiring. Not only the journey of your project as you help it traverse the paths and obstacles it faces, but also your journey as its creator/producer or performer. There may be some down days, but the good days massively out way them.
Images/Items
Some use images or items kept with them, at their desk, or workstation to provide inspiration for their motivation or to remind them of what they are trying to accomplish and why. Others have collections of images and items in the form of visions boards or collections to give them inspiration. Pinterest is great resource for collecting images to inspire. What about your own images? I’m sure your phone is littered with images you can use to create a collection of inspiration. Take a look around and see what you can find to keep your inspiration up.
What Inspires You…?
What inspires you to keep going with your journey? Your dreams? And to accomplish your goals?
